Controls and indicators

Controls

The MODE button toggles through all the modes, the "-" and "+" buttons edit them. The simultaneous depression of the "+" and "-" buttons resets a currently selected parameter to it's default value.

  • DELAY FIELD – audio delay coarse adjustment (20ms increments). The main display shows the current setting in "units", the "unit" equals to 20ms.
  • DELAY FINE – audio delay fine adjustment (1ms increments). The main display shows the current setting in milliseconds. Incrementing (or decrementing) beyond the 20ms boundary will increment (or decrement respectively) the coarse setting by one "coarse unit".
  • TEST – an audio test signal selection. The main display shows the currently selected test as follows:
    • 00 – test signal is OFF
    • 01 – the MUTE test signal
    • 02 – 1kHz sine wave at -18dBFs (0dBu)
    • 03 – "Left" channel only 1kHz sine wave at -18dBFs (0dBu)
    • 04 – "Right" channel only 1kHz sine wave at -18dBFs (0dBu)
  • GAIN – manual audio gain presets within the –12dB to +12dB range in 0,5dB increments. The “<0dB” and “0dB>” LEDs display positive and negative levels respectively. The main display shows the actual level in deciBells

Indicators

  • OVER L/R – the "Left" and "Right" input overload indication
  • 32kHz, 44,1kHz, 48kHz, 96kHz - the currently used AES sample rate indicators
  • LOSS – lit when the input AES/EBU signal is lost
  • BICODE – lit when the biphase encoding error is detected in the input AES/EBU signal
  • PARITY – lit when the parity error is detected in the input AES/EBU signal
  • CRC – lit when the CRC error is detected in the input AES/EBU signal

The remote control and management from a PC

All the “PROFLEX” modules are remote controllable from a PC. This facility is available if a rack is fitted with a CPU module (ordered separately).
