Main / Matrix routers / Management system overview

All PROFITT's maxtrix routers are accessible by RS-485 network with proprietary control protocol. Remote panels, a PC or router's front panel may be used simultaneously.

To obtain the RS-232-to-RS-485 connectivity a PIC-094 interface adapter is available. The RS-485-to-Ethernet connectivity is provided by a PIC-4094 adapter.

Panels

Local panels (PRL-xxxx) and remote panels (PRR-xxxx) come in three types:

• general X-Y type remote panels
• multi bus type remote panel
• single bus type remote panel

Panels' configuration (a router it controls, a reouter's output number, etc) is obtained by DIP switches within a panel.
