Established on October 31st 1991 «PROFITT» Ltd designs, develops and produces the professional grade video- and audio-equipment for TV broadcasters. Our customers are most major TV centres and studios in Russia, CIS and Baltic countries. Here are some of the company's milestones:

  • 1992 - the first professional grade broadcast quality PAL-encoder (PPE-001) in exUSSR
  • 1996 - the 64x64 audio/video-switch contracted by "Rostelekom" (RKTM)
  • 1997 - the 10-bits digital SECAM-encoder contracted by «Scientific Atlanta», Canada
  • 1999 - the 10-bits digital transcoder/syncronizer PSC-1081 designed
  • 2000
    • the contract with Saint-Petersburg's ice hockey stadiums ("Yubileiny" and "Ice Palace"): the communication-distribution complex for the IIHF 2000 Wold Championship coverage.
    • the PMX-2003VC broadcast component video-switcher introduced
    • 10-bits digital PAL/SECAM encoders and decoders introduced
    • «CRAB» and «PROFLEX» modular systems introduced
  • 2001
    • the contract to participate in the Outside Broadcast Van development and production
    • the contract with the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation to participate along with "LOMO" PLC St-Petersburg in the development of the State Automated System “Vybory”.
  • 2002 - the PVDP-1005 multistandard digital video/audio-processor/logo generator introduced for the automation of a regional commercial insertion in a federal programme feed
  • 2003
    • the PDMX-1016 multistandard digital 16-channel master control introduced
    • the CSTB-2003 exhibition: the «PROFLEX» modular system won the Premier Prize in "The best local (Russia, CIS) technical development for TV" nomination
    • the mass production started of the single- and multi-signal optical communication equipments (SDI, DVB-ASI, PAL/SECAM, analog and AES/EBU audio, RS232/RS422/RS485 data)
  • 2004
    • the mass production started of the PDMX-2004 multistandard digital six-input broadcast audio/video switcher
    • the contract with the Saint-Petersburg "5tv" TeleRadio Company for general modernization
    • the contract with ROSTELECOM to develop and install the commutation/distribution complex of SDI/ASI, PAL/SECAM, YUV, YC video and multichannel audio signals (based on the 64x64 switching matrixes) at the Long-Distance TV Commutation Technical Centre switch room
    • the CSTB-2004 exhibition: the PDMX-1016 video/audio-switcher won the Premier Prize in "The best local (Russia, CIS) technical development for TV" nomination
  • 2005
    • the mass production started of the PDCC-1100 digital chromakeyer
    • the contract to supply the commutation/distribution complex for "Beltelecom" (Republic of Byelorus)
  • 2006
    • the mass production of the PRVA-4063 broadcast video/audio-changeover and PRAA-4065 audio-changeover for digital communication lines
    • the contract to supply the video- and audio-changeovers for "Beltelecom" (Republic of Byelorus)
    • the contract to supply the commutation/distribution equipment for the Russian Federation goverment's Press Bureau
    • the contract with the Saint-Petersburg "5tv" TeleRadio Company to supply the equipment nesessary to provide the federal programming
  • 2007 - the CSTB-2007 exhibition: the Premiere Prize in the "For the interesting technical solution", "Ability to satisfy the needs of developing markets" nominations for the head-end and distribution equipment for TV networks, EO and OE converters
  • 2008
    • the mass production started of the HDSDI optical transmitters, receivers, distribution amplifiers synchros, etc., multichannel optical SDI/DVB-ASI transmitters and receivers with electrical multiplexing (TDM)
    • the PDMX-2006 and PDMX-2007 digital broadcast video-audioswitchers mass production started
    • the contract with "CENTER TV BROADCASTING COMPANY" (Moscow) to modernize it's optical fiber communication infrastructure by replacing it with the "PROFITT"'s equipment
  • 2009
    • the mass productions started of the broadcast SDI smart changeovers
    • the mass production started of the DS/HD SDI cross-converters
    • the MPEG-4 (H.264/AVC) decoder production started

All the "PROFITT"s equipment is designed to the state of the art level of circuit design, components used and the technologies involved in the production.

Since 1995 "PROFITT" Ltd participates in specialized exhibitions such as «TRBE», «CSTB», «NATEXPO». We attended to «IBC-2001» (Amsterdam, Netherlands), «Broadcast India 2005» (Bombay, India), “EEBC 2006” (Kiev, Ukraine), “Kitel 2008” (Almaty, Kazakhstan)
