General description PFPC-3024(T)(E) series CPU module for 1U PROFLEX™ racks consists of the two submodules:

PFPC-3024(E) series CPU module is configurable from it's frontal panel. Pressing the MODE button select a parameter for editing, pressing the UD or DOWN buttons edit it. Available parameters:
PFPC-3024E frontal panel view Application examples RS-485 network in the BUS topology PFPC-3024 series CPU module should be configured for the BUS topology. Each node is allocated with the unique system address. The "PROFITT"'s proprietary protocol is used for communication. The connectivity is not affected by a failing or absent node. To connect an IBM PC to such a network the PIC-094 (RS-232 to RS-485) or PIC-4094 (ETHERNET/RS-232 to RS-485) interface converter is nesessary. An example of a RS-485 network in the BUS topology RS-485 network in the STAR topology PFPC-3024 series CPU module should be configured for the STAR topology. The PHUB-4002 network hub should be present in the system. It is possible to have more than one hub (up to twelve) if MASTER/SLAVE mode is used in the PHUB-4002 hubs. The "PROFITT"'s proprietary protocol is used for communication. The connectivity is not affected by a failing or absent node. To connect an IBM PC to such a network the PIC-094 (RS-232 to RS-485) or PIC-4094 (ETHERNET/RS-232 to RS-485) interface converter is nesessary. An example of a RS-485 network in the STAR topology RS-232 connectivity PFPC-3024 series CPU module may be connected to an IBM PC directly via PIC-094 (RS-232 to RS-485) interface converter. ETHERNET connectivity (PFPC-3024E only) PFPC-3024(T)E series CPU module may be connected to an ETHERNET network directly. |
