General description
PFRP-3026 console is a 1U rack-mountable module easily convertible into a desktop one.
PFRP-3026 frontal panel
The frontal panel hosts twelve buttons for video-audio mixer/processor(s) management and four buttons for GPI command lines:
- MAIN LED indicators - display a status of a PGM bus of a main mixer/processor
- STBY LED indicators - display a status of a PGM bus of a stand-by mixer/processor
- MAIN, STBY - select a device (main, stand-by or both simultaneously) to control
- IN1…IN6 – select an input for the PGM bus of a mixer/processor. The actual transition is performed in a preprogrammed way (CUT, MIX or V)
- LOGO – logo insertion ON/OFF. A mixer/processor must be preconfigured to enable logo generator (LOGO PRG ON/OFF set to ON) at the mixer/processor's PGM output
- LINE – preselected instance of a scrolling text insertion ON/OFF. A mixer/processor must be preconfigured to enable logo generator (LOGO PRG ON/OFF set to ON) at the mixer/processor's PGM output
- DSK – DSK signal ON/OFF at the PGM bus
- CONFIRM – an auxiliary button used to prevent operator's erroneous actions (if a protected mode is enabled) and for PPRP-4056 console's RS-485 network configuration
- RESET – resets to factory default settings
- GPI1…GPI4 – GPI line control and status display
The rear panel hosts:
- +5V power supply connector
- combined RS-232/RS-485 interface connector labeled RS-232
- RS-485 network connector
- four GPI line connectors
- OPTION preset switch
PFRP-3026 connects to a controlled device by either RS-232 or RS-485 links.
Two RS-485 network topologies are available: the "bus" (fig.2a) and "hub" (fig.2b). In the latter case the HUB concentrator is needed. Each networked device is assigned it's own address and uses the "PROFITT"'s proprietary protocol.
