The software package allows to manage all PROFLEX modules remotely.
Any PROFLEX rack fitted with a CPU subboard may have all it's functional modules monitored and controlled over Ethernet from a PC with PXShow or PROFLEX v2.1 software packages installed.

The control network may be segmented with the PIC-4094 interface converter (RS-232/RS-485/Ethernet) to include the RS-485 connected subnetworks. The RS-485 connectivity is provided by “PROFITT”s proprietary protocol.

The Ethernet networking is based on the UDP SNMP-like protocol.

A module is considered a client which periodically reports it's state to a central server. The server then builds a tree of all detected racks and their modules. This tree is compared to a pre-loaded system description file. A user may choose parameters to monitor and the warning levels for each instance of parameter deviation.
