PORC-7223 3G/HD/SD SDI/DVB-ASI optical receivers with auxiliary HDMI output |
PROFLEX™ PORC-7223 series 3G/HD/SD SDI/DVB-ASI optical receivers accept the single-mode optical fiber signal to demodulate the 3G/HD/SD SDI/DVB-ASI signal.
The optical input of PORC-7223 is based on the hot-swappable SFP module with the RX power monitoring facility.
The PORC-7223 module occupies one slot in the PROLFEX 1U/3U racks so that up to four receivers fit into a 1U rack and up to fifteen into a 3U rack.
The PORC-7223 receiver is WDM/CWDM/single-signal compatible.
The PORC-7223 is featuring the monitoring HDMI output with the OSD of the bar-graph audio level meters (quasi-peak and VU).

PORC-7223 simplified schematic diagram:
PORC-7223 accepts the optical signal on it's SFP RX module, which demodulates the input signal down to 3G/HD/SD SDI/DVB-ASI electrical form. The signal is processed by a video/audio processor. The video/audio processor deembedds the audio data streams. The audio may be monitored at the analog output. The 3G/HD/SD SDI/DVB-ASI video is available on two reclocked outputs.
Features:
- 3G/HD/SD SDI/DVB-ASI compliance
- electrical (3G/HD/SD SDI/DVB-ASI and HDMI) outputs are available simultaneously
- user configurable reclocked or raw SDI/DVB-ASI outputs
- hot-swappable SFP module as optical input device
- the APD sensor modification available
- high optical sensitivity
- realtime optical RX power monitoring
- signal loss indicator
- EDH/CRC status indicators
- automatic detection and indication of an embedded audio
- audio group selection for the OSD bargraph audio level meter
- bargraph audio level meter (quazi-peak and UV) OSD on HDMI monitor output
- dBU or dBFS user-selectable scale with adjustable reference level
- 3G Level B only: stream#1 or stream#2 selection for monitoring on HDMI output
- compatibility with a single-signal, WDM and CWDM optical systems
Note: Always use the LC-type attennuator(s) at transmitters' output or receivers' input if the receivers' input optical power exceeds the -3dBm (for PORC-7223SFP) or -9dBm (for PORC-7223SFPA) level to avoid the receivers' sensor damage and sensitivity loss.

PORC-7223 controls and indicators:
The indicators:
- LOSS - lit when SDI input is lost
- EDH/CRC/ASI ERROR MIN/HOUR - lit if two or more SDI EDH, 3G/HD SDI CRC or ASI errors were detected within one hour/minute interval
- RX FAULT - lit when an optical input is at fault or no optical signal detected
- ASI - lit when an input signal is recognized as ASI
- EDH DET - lit when an input SDI signal contains the EDH packets
- AUD DET - lit when an input 3G/HD/SD SDI has the embedded audio
- the main graphical display shows the current parameter value. Contents is organized as twelve pages scrollable by the MODE button
The MODE button toggles through all the modes, the UP and DOWN buttons edit them.
