    | POTR-7209 series 10/100/1000 BaseT FastEthernet optical transceivers | POTR-7209 optical transceivers provide the 10/100/1000BaseT FastEthernet bidirectional communication over an optical fiber. A pair of POTR-7209 provide the full duplex link over one or two (modification index “D”) optical fibers. The following modifications exist:

    | Model | Number of optical fibers | TX power(dBm)
 | RX sensitivity(dBm)
 | optical link length(km)
 | Notes |

 | 1 | -7~-1 | -23~-3 | <20 | WDM, 1310 and 1550nm, bidirectional over a single fiber |
    | POTR-7209-L-49, POTR-L-7209-55
 | 1 | -2~+3 | -24~-3 | 20~80 | WDM, 1490 and 1550nm, bidirectional over a single fiber |
    | POTR-7209D-31 | 2 | -9~-3 | -23~-3 | <20 | 1310nm, bidirectional over two optical fibers |
    | POTR_7209D-L-55 | 2 | -2~+3 | -24~-3 | 20~80 | 1550nm, bidirectional over two optical fibers |
    | POTR-7209D-CW## | 2 | -5~0 | -24~-3 | <20 | any of 16 CWDM wavelengths, different wavelengths for TX and RX, external optical MUX/DMUX |
    | POTR-7209D-L-CW## | 2 | +1~+5 | -24~-3 | 20~80 | any of 16 CWDM wavelengths, different wavelengths for TX and RX, external optical MUX/DMUX |
    | POTR-7209A | - | - | - | - | without an SFP module | Note: The CW## index denotes one of the CWDM wavelengths in the range of 1270~1610nm in 20nm increments. The input optical power should never exceed the -3dBm level to avoid the sensor damage and sensitivity loss.

An optical signal is detected, processed and FastEthernet stream is provided at TX output. In a dual-fiber modification (index “ D ”) one fiber is used to transmit, the other is used to receive on the 1310nm (1550nm by request) wavelength. For the CWDM optical systems the external MUX/DEMUX are required, RX and TX are on different CWDM wavelengths. A single-fiber modification is fitted with the built-in optical MUX/DEMUX. The remote control and management from a PC All the “PROFLEX” modules are remote controllable from a PC. This facility is available if a rack is fitted with a CPU module (ordered separately).
